It depends on the condition of the hair replacement. Sometimes a small amount of hair falls out of the hair replacement due to regular wear and tear you can notice it thinning out in certain spots. This problem can usually be solved by adding in hair to the balding area. This is done by a professional wig maker who knows how to tie the hair into the base one at a time. This is hard, time consuming, and strenuous work. The cost is usually estimated by the time put into repairing the hairpiece.
Another repair that may be needed is to the base. If the base of the hair system rips it is possible to put it back together. This can also be tedious and time consuming work. The person repairing the hair replacement has to be careful not to make the repair visible. In an instance your hair replacement tears (which should not usually happen) it is better to get a new hair replacement.
